Making Your Own Future

Making your Own Future

“The best way to predict the future is to create it.”

And that, my friends, is why I invent. And build and explore. The inventors and the entrepreneurs and the explorers of the world are the superheroes of today. They are the ones who go outside the status quo and carve new paths that take us toward the places and states we should be inhabiting.  They are the ones who are taking responsibility for the fate of humanity. Elon Musk and Steve Jobs are fine examples.

Though I have always been an inventor of sorts, I originally did it just for the joy of it. I didn’t get serious about big picture inventing until I saw, as a sort of vision, the ultimate effect of global warming — ocean currents stalled and dying. That was the idea that shook me to my core. That was the idea that inspired me to attempt to forestall that outcome for the sake of my grandchildren and everyone else’s grandchildren. That was the idea that cleared out all the chaos and overwhelming details in my mind and triggered pure focus.

Everywhere I looked I became aware of inefficiencies contributing a thousand little situations which would evolve into this one big picture event of dead seas.  Then one day I noticed a fluid dynamics anomaly. To make a very long story short, that anomaly ended up becoming the SolidWater™ Ship propeller. It could have become dozens of other products, such as fans, pumps, or aircraft propellers, but Its primary destiny was to become the ship propeller that would save the world.

As a professional mariner, my first thoughts were to attend to the ships because besides being my specialty, very few people knew that ships caused the most atmospheric pollution of any sector. Consider that 14 ships the size of an average tanker (300-350 meters in length) produce more atmospheric pollutants than all the cars in the world. And at any given time there are over one thousand of these ships puffing and spewing those pollutants around the world…

Think about that for a second. You could remove all the cars in the world or convert them to Teslas or you could remove 14 tankers. If you reduced the fuel use of all the ships of that size by 80%, that would be the same as removing all the cars in the world 53,000 times!

Normally that number would have no meaning if I hadn’t already discovered a way to do it. And built prototypes to prove it works as advertised.

But I am not a superhero yet. Not by a long shot. Although I am certainly on the right path. After funding, it will take 2 years to get design, testing, and certification out of the way and move into production. We will make 1000 props in year three and plan to up that by one thousand each year after until we capture a significant portion of the market. That’s a lot of miles to superhero-hood.

Fortunately, I am not the only one pursuing this path. Since all these big ships deliver their cargo in major cities their pollutants aren’t going unnoticed.

The Port of Los Angeles and the Port of Long Beach LINK have announced that they will soon restrict non-zero-emissions ships from entering their ports. They have already gotten all their semi trucks replaced with electric versions.

Similarly, The Port of Seattle is seeking solutions as are the countries of India and China.

The US Navy is also concerned. They have an ongoing call out for any technologies that will save them from creating environmental damage or spending excess amounts on fuel.

My point is that when the right vision inspires you, you will be inspired to be the superhero you were meant to be. The right vision will point you in the right direction and call up all the resources you need to fulfill your destiny.

If you are an accredited investor, you may wish to consider investing in Admiral Fluidics Corporation, the company that will be making and distributing the SolidWater™ Ship Propeller…
